Have you ever felt like you have given too much into chasing a guy or a girl but what you get in return is not worth the investment? In most cases, the other party keeps you close for their selfish gain. Here is a guy who needs your advice because he is facing somewhat a similar situation. Ride along with me. We will call him Jack.

There is this girl who sells tops in our hood and has caught my attention. She is very cute and I kinda like her. So for a while, I have been trying to get her attention, and to be honest, I became her client because of this. I thought buying from her would increase my chances. During this period, I got her number and we have been chatting. My disappointment was that it wasn’t moving as fast as I would wish so I gathered courage and told her I liked her and wished to know her more.

Friendzone

When I confessed my love for her, all she said was we could be friends and see. This did not go well with me, more so because we met like daily to buy stuff from her. Furthermore, the lady now acts cold whenever we meet unlike before. After talking with a friend of mine, he advised me to stop trying so hard and see how things would turn out. So I stopped, but anytime she needs something, she comes to me. As a friend, I always make sure that I sort her out by sending her money, as a way to show her that I care.

Ghosted

Whenever I send her money, she ghosts me and does not respond to my texts or calls. Recently, she had an altercation with her boyfriend and she called me crying. Surprisingly, it was during the same period that I came to know that she had a boyfriend. She said her boyfriend had slapped her and they fought, which led to her being thrown out by her boyfriend.

As a good friend, and hopin’ that it will boost my chances of nailing her, I went to pick her up and offered a place to stay. She has been staying with me for one week now and seems like she will be here for a while. her tone and attitude have since changed and she says she loves me and always trying to work at home to make me happy. I’m sceptical about the turn of events and am trying to put my feelings for her aside and think rationally. When I think of how she snobbed me back then, I am in a state of dilemma. All this is because she is gaining from me.

I am confused because one part of me loves her, but the other side tells me that in case they sort out their issues she might leave me. Is it wrong if I let her go? Please advise me.
