This is an old way of haymaking in the 1960’s in Londiani, had the workers making hays in square batches. The tractor is fitted with a cutter, rake, and a baller for baling hay during harvesting.
Small square bales, weighing an average of 20 kilograms can be readily handled by hand and loaded on a tractor, trailer, or wagon or hauled by a tractor.
A tractor with a hay spear and occasionally forks on the back is used to handle rolls and large square bales. In the 1960s, the tractor that was used in harvesting was fitted with a trailer and used to transport Hay. The photo shows hay being offloaded from a tractor, after haymaking.
